adidas Originals x Bristol Studio SS–18 ///
NBA All-Star Weekend

Growing up in Los Angeles I idolized the purple-and-gold, especially the young kid with his mini-‘fro, who donned the number 8 and wore his signature sneakers, the Crazy 8s.

I pined for those sneakers, of stepping into his shoes, and I dreamed that one day I might have my own signature basketball sneaker.

I’m proud to share with you the adidas Originals x Bristol Studio Crazy BYW (Boost You Wear). As fate would have it, this sneaker evolved from that signature Crazy 8 sneaker that I yearned for in the late-90s. We’ve modernized it with adidas’ unparalleled boost technology and elevated it through our use of materials like premium suedes and leathers. The mid-section features a gold foil Bristol print and the tongue incorporates reverse printed branding on a silicone band.

The sneaker will officially launch in limited quantities at Nice Kicks during NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles.

Could not be more excited to debut this project. The only word I can think of to describe it all is “crazy.”

Special thanks to adidas Originals and their amazing team.

With gratitude,

Luke Tadashi
